The Penthouse

This 8,300 s.f. duplex penthouse on Singapore's famed Orchard Boulevard was designed from the floor up. The unit was presented to the client from the developer as a blank box. We worked with our client on the architecture, interior design and decoration of the apartment. Design brief was for a luxurious penthouse not unlike the presidential suite of a five star hotel but detailed and specific to the clients needs and tastes. One particular challenge was incorporating the local Feng Shui considerations and customs. The grand stair for example had to be oriented a certain way with a specific number of steps. Rock crystal, agate and jade fixtures were incorporated for their holistic qualities. Bamboo themed hand-painted wallpaper and Lalique glass panels were installed for their auspicious symbolism.
