The 4,000 s.f. residence is located in a white glove 1920s Rosario Candela designed Fifth Avenue building. The address has had a history of well-known occupants such as the movie legend Gloria Swanson. The present owners are important art collectors and philanthropists. Traditional moldings and drapes were replaced with simple profiles and light sheer curtains. Flush full-height sliding doors were installed to connect or divide the living and dining rooms. When open, the space becomes a long continous gallery for entertaining. The living room, study, library and master bedroom overlook Fifth Avenue and Central Park. The renovation has won numerous design awards.
